Chinese Science Bulletin, a comprehensive academic journal of China, which
is sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and published by Science
in China Press, devotes itself to the publication of the up-to-date scientific
achievements in all fields of natural sciences in China. It is now widely
recognised as the most important English scientific journal in China,
with Professor Zhou Guangzhao (President of the Chinese Academy of
Science) as the Editor-in-Chief and an Editorial Board composed of the
best Chinese scientists in China and around the world.
Since its establishment in 1950, Chinese Science Bulletin has reported numerous achievements of
scientific researchers in China, of which many are up to the advanced international standard, contributing
much to the domestic and international academic exchange, and to the development of scientific
undertakings, hence winning high praise from academic circles at home and abroad.
Chinese Science Bulletin has been on the selections lists of some international retrieval journals, such as
CA, El, Bulletin of Japanese Scientific and Technological Documents, On Line Database, and Current
Content, and some reports in this journal have been reviewed by newspapers or journals. According to a
latest report of China Scientific and Technological Institute, Chinese Science Bulletin ranks the first
among the 20 most frequently cited journals of China. And Chinese Science Bulletin is counted among
the 62 International journals listed in the column Multidisciplinary Sci. in the JCR of SCI.
Chinese Science Bulletin will spare no efforts to keep abreast of the rapid progress in science and
technology of China and to make its features - "high", "quick", and "new" - more distinctive.
Chinese Science Bulletin now mainly presents concise reports on the latest research in basic and
applied sciences and a column "letters" covering briefly the most recent research news. Thus, this journal
