As an outstanding field journal in conflict, economics of development and peace,
International Journal of Development and Conflict (IJDC) will provide a truly global forum for researchers for advancing our collective pool of
knowledge in the field. The journal will foster scholarship of the highest standard and set a
high standard for published papers in terms of their empirical depth, theoretical refinement
and methodological rigour. The journal will publish innovative papers addressing the causes
of conflicts and violence and the means of economic development to promote and sustain
peace.
As a multidisciplinary journal of conflict, economic development and peace, IJDC
invites papers using modern empirical, theoretical and experimental approaches that
attempt to explain both determinants and effects of various facets of conflict, economic
development and peace. The focus of the journal is on publishing theoretical, empirical and
scientifically based studies to explore causes and consequences of conflict, development
and peace in our complex world. The journal especially seeks papers that address:
- Economic, political and social factors associated with conflict, development and peace,
- Non-economic factors and their interrelationships with economic factors in influencing conflict, development and peace,
- Behavioural foundation of individual and group activities to explore causes and consequences of conflicts and economic development,
- Economics of terrorism and strategies to eliminate terrorism.
